Digital Marketing Europe 2025 – A Conference Recap and SEO Workshop Insights

Digital Marketing Europe 2025 (6ᵗʰ edition) was a three-day international marketing conference in Vilnius (Mar 18–20, 2025) attracting over 500 attendees and 40+ speakers from ~30 countries. Organizers praised the “brilliant ideas, bold conversations, and marketing minds pushing the limits” witnessed at the event. In particular, cutting-edge topics like AI-powered personalization and SEO were front-and-center: for example, one track was titled “AI-Powered Hyper-Personalization”, and keynote speakers included AI experts (e.g. Azahara Corrales is listed as a “Media Manager… AI Expert”). This set an innovative tone that ran throughout the conference.

AI and Key Topics

The agenda featured a wide range of themes. Aside from AI, sessions covered Paid Advertising, Influencer Marketing, SEO/SEM, Digital PR, Growth Hacking and more. Notably, AI was woven into many talks – for instance, Stefan Chiriacescu’s session on “Leveraging AI in Email Marketing” and Azahara Corrales’s expertise underscored the conference’s AI focus. Attendee materials even touted DME as an “AI-first” conference moving forward. Overall, the program balanced forward-looking AI-driven strategies with practical digital marketing fundamentals.

One of the pre-conference highlights for me was the “Site Audits for Marketers Who Don’t Know SEO” workshop, led by Grégoire Lacan (Greg) and Marcelo de Carvalho of UniK SEO. This hands-on session was specifically designed for marketers new to SEO. The trainers broke down SEO audits into clear, step-by-step tasks – as they promised in promotion, with “no overcomplications, just clear, useful insights”. In practice, we covered all the core audit elements:

  • SEO fundamentals: why SEO matters and how search engines work.
  • Keyword audits: how to find and evaluate the right search terms for a site.
  • On-page optimization: best practices for titles, headers, and meta tags.
  • Content strategy: writing SEO-friendly content (e.g. using target keywords in the copy).
  • Technical audits: checking site health (readability, crawlability, indexability) and UX considerations.

These topics align with what one attendee summarized: the workshop taught “essential site audits, including keyword audits, on-page optimization, content strategies, and technical audits”. By the end of the day, I felt confident identifying simple issues on any website and recommending fixes.

Feedback from other attendees echoed my experience.
